Associate Director, Advanced Process Technology

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities The Associate Director for Advanced Process Technology is responsible to provide direction, motivation, support and leadership to the associates in the Advance Process Technology group.  This role oversees the introduction of new products into production, the scale-up and improvements of existing products and equipment technology transfer to offshore plants.  The role will also drive the continuous improvement of the work processes in assembly technology.  Advanced Process Technology team will specify designs, builds and/or acquires assembly and packaging systems for Medical/Surgical Systems and is an arm of the BDI-OPS Engineering organization. Essential Job Functions Manage the engineering activities in the department so that project goals, departmental goals, budget goals, etc., are established, communicated, and met. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in supporting any improvements to the processes and/or equipment, to ensure reliability at the highest possible levels. As necessary, coordinate department activities with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Materials Management departments.     Collaborate with R&D engineering and equipment integrators and manage new product/process projects to ensure product and process requirements are met and enable a smooth transition into production and the scale up of new and existing products.    Collaborate with other engineering groups including equipment integrators to ensure effective transfer of technology and support improvement projects. Develop direct reports. Develop best practices and ensure they are utilized in the development and implementation of production equipment. Develop equipment specifications. Collaborate with Process Development and equipment integrators to ensure process specifications are incorporated into equipment specifications. Collaborate with Category Management to negotiate pricing of production equipment. Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations. Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles. Other duties as assigned. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
