Job Description
Radio Access Performance Engineer
Murray Hill, NJ or Naperville, IL
Work as part of a team responsible for performance characterization and optimization of wireless feature for multiple generations of wireless technologies.
Four different and specific roles are:
Leading performance analysis and KPI improvement in support of release introduction and new network launches. Lead sub teams.
Providing RF analysis expertise in support of new SW products and features for LTE.
Team lead to engage in proactive performance field studies for successful deployment and optimization of LTE Small Cells.
Providing RF analysis in introduction of lightRadio/metro cells in US major cities.
This includes analyzing performance data, troubleshooting performance issues, and providing optimization recommendations.
Required
Bachelors of Science degree in, Electrical Engineering, or similar related discipline
Strong Digital Communications background with in depth knowledge of LTE or 3G
Strong analytical background with at least 3 years experience in assessing radio access performance for wireless technologies
Excellent planning, organizing, decision making, and team coordination skills.
Experience developing custom analysis scripts
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in team environment
Desired
Masters of Science degree or PhD in, Electrical Engineering, or similar related discipline
Strong knowledge of data networking concepts and experience troubleshooting IP issues
In depth knowledge of 3G technologies (3G or 4G, CDMA or WCDMA)
In depth knowledge and hands experience testing wireless platforms
Experience in analysis of performance counter or PCMD data from 3G/4G wireless networks
Experience with mobile diagnostic tools such as QXDM, Netimizer, LLDM etc.
Experience with lab test equipment such as channel emulators, Wavejudge wireless test system, and wireless load generation tools
Previous experience in role that required extensive technical interface with end customers.
Must Haves
RF performance and feature validation, RF parameter optimization, algorithm development/design improvements, troubleshooting, lab and field studies identifying product enhancements, trend characterization, trials/intro/studies, exposure to R&D teams to improve product performance. EnodeB 15min/hour intervals, CDR. Masters degree with above average GPA.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
