Minimum 5
years of experience as a Network/Systems Administrator in a medium size network (50
servers, 3-5 locations, 400
desktops) and communications devices using following technologies:
Qualifications:
Dell Power Edge Servers, Dell PowerVault TL2000 tape library
Cisco (Routing and switching)
Windows 2008, 2003, Active Directory, upgrade, DNS, DHCP, Windows 7
Datacenter maintenance
Disaster Recovery planning, design and implementation
EMC SAN Storage (VNX preferred)
LAN/WAN, MPLS & Site to Site VPN
VPN Preferable Checkpoint Firewall / SSL VPN
Symantec Backup Exec (Disk to Disk and Disk to Tape)
VMware (vMotion, DRS, Cluster, HA, Datastore, vCenter, update Manager, P2V)
Solarwinds (Monitoring and Alerting)
McAfee Antivirus Enterprise 8.x
UPS Config, monitoring & alerting.
Good communication, Leadership skill and documentation.
Microsoft certification required (MCSE)
Preferred Skills:
VMware VCP
EMC VNX / Unified Storage Certification
Project Management skills
Symantec Endpoint 2010
Cisco certification (CCNA)
Checkpoint certification (CCSPA)
Education:
Diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration or equivalent.
Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Administration on Server 2003/2008
Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users, using SSL VPN such as Juniper /Checkpoint /Cisco.
Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and scanners.
Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
Facilitation and change management skills.
Highly developed verbal and written communicationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
